Due Date Trailer

It's nice to see Downey Jr. in a full-fledged comedy and even better to see Galifinakis in a leading role that doesn't require him to be an idiot-savant. Shades of Planes, Trains and Automobiles can be seen but the Galifinakis's opening line eases any thoughts this is Oscar-bait.

I picked this in my recent rundown of 2010 films I want to see. Seeing Galifianakis' name attached to it is enough to get my buttocks in a seat. Downey being in it is like discovering the seat reclines to a pleasing degree.

How's that for a dumb metaphor?
Am I a horrible person if I genuinely laughed out loud at the bus stop scene in the beginning of the trailer? Definitely has potential to be a good comedy. However, it seems like it shares the same characteristics as Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

The Dream Is Real

For my money there is nothing cooler than the idea of a city folding in on itself.

Ant-man Finally Casted?

It looks like Nathan Fillion might be playing a superhero afterall. After being considered for roles in Green Lantern, and Captain America,Fillion (most remembered as Malcolm Reynolds in the cult-hit Firefly) is reportedly in final negotiations to play Dr. Hank Pym in the new Avengers film. It hasn't been stated whether Pym would be Ant-man in the film, or just a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist, but we're holding out hope.

The Avengers hits theatres in 2012.
