'Django Unchained' Reveals First Look at DiCaprio and Foxx

The wait is over. The first stills of Django Unchained were released today with the three main characters on full display. Above are Django (Jamie Foxx) and Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) walking around what used to be the set for Deadwood. Foxx self-describes Django as “Richard Roundtree meets Clint Eastwood.”

Leonardo DiCaprio's Calvin Candie: a mentally-unbalanced plantation owner, who enjoys creating sparring matches between his toughest slaves. If you were wondering whether DiCaprio would play it safe with this role, the hammer wielding and fondness for gladiatorial combat should answer that.

Thus far, it looks like Tarantino has nailed the aesthetic of the film and its inhabitants. Waltz and Foxx fit in with ease in the backdrop as bounty hunters on the road to freeing Django's wife. Speaking of which, if you had told me yesterday that Leonardo DiCaprio would look this comfortable as a crazed slave-owner, I wouldn't have believed you. No one has admired hardware in…

A Better Look at Tom Hardy as Bane

Those dead eyes. They could make any man cower. Even a dark knight. Hardy may not be able to top Ledger's intense vision of a true psychopath, but he absolutely poses a physical challenge to Batman.

New 'Town' Screencaps

It's nice to see that The Town won't be all about gunplay and shoot-em-up robberies. What was special about Michael Mann's Heat is that it showed Neil McCauley (DeNiro) on downtime and what he was like without the mask. Affleck knows what he is going for in The Town and, while it may not be an awards contender, this will top my must-see list.

First Look at True Grit

The first still from the Coen Bros. adaptation of True Grit hit the internet today and I'm really liking what I see. Jeff Bridges seems to have nailed the look of tough U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn and I foresee another Academy nod this next February. True Grit is due to hit theatres this Christmas and this my most anticipated film of this winter.

New Screencap from Inception

This will be the last screencap/news story/etc. that will be posted for Inception. I do not want to risk ruining the film for others and myself.

First Official Inception Photo

If you have seen any footage from Inception - and if you read this site you probably have -one would assume this screencap is of Leonardo DiCaprio's character after putting a silencer on his pistol in the kitchen. Beyond that I have no clue.

Coming Soon: Iron Man 2

It looks like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has taken the publically known superhero thing a little too comfortably. Catching some late breakfast grub at a donut shop in the middle of the day seems like a poor choice. Which is probably why Whiplash (Mickey Rourke) will able to attack him so easily.
The scene pictured is at the beginning of the comic-con footage that was deleted nearly everywhere online. Nick Fury(Samuel L. Jackson) head of S.H.I.E.L.D. meets Stark at a restaurant to discuss his appreciated, but sometimes reckless heroics.
Iron Man 2 hits theatres May 4th, 2010

First Look at 'The Fighter'

The Fighter, starring Mark Wahlberg as boxer Mickey Ward. The film chronicles his several bouts against Sugar Ray Leonard. The film also stars Christian Bale as Ward's trainer and Amy Adams as Wahlberg's girlfriend.
