Interstellar Trailer Debuts

Paramount and Warner Bros. made a lot of cinephiles happy today by posting the first trailer for Christopher Nolan's upcoming sci-fi Interstellar. Like the teaser trailer for Inception, very little about the film's plot or characters is made clear during the footage unveiled, but Mr. Nolan has certainly brought the "wow."

How bad should Congress feel for cutting all funding to NASA? Pretty damn awful. With any luck maybe this film will re-ignite an interest in space again.

The film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Bill Irwin, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace and David Gyasi.

Interstellar is set to hit theatres and in IMAX November 7, 2014.

"You Are Not Alone"

One of the big draws for Warner Bros. upcoming Man of Steel was Michael Shannon getting into full-on villain mode for a summer blockbister. Bow before Zod, indeed.

'Only God Forgives' Teaser

Nothing good ever happens to Ryan Gosling...

'Lincoln' Teaser Promises Much

The man comes around. Finally, Daniel Day-Lewis is able to speak in the new trailer for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln. Much like Henry Fonda in Young Mr. Lincoln, Lewis has to create a definitive tone for a man whose voice is not known. Unlike Fonda, Lewis has to do so for one of the most hyped films in recent memory. One of the greatest directors of our time tackling a subject of great consequence featuring one of history's most famous icons.

'Man of Steel' Teaser Trailer

Masterful use of scoring music to what's onscreen. This teaser resembled less a cookie-cutter comic book trailer rather than a Terrence Malick film. Most importantly, there is none of the slow-motion expected of a Zack Snyder film.

Just In Case You Forgot, Quentin Tarantino Is Making A Movie About Slavery

The trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained was released today and it is filled with all of the dialogue you know and love."Kill white folks and they pay you for it? What's not to like?" Don't ever change Tarantino, don't ever change. For those of you who care to see the trailer on the bigscreen, it will be attached to Prometheus.

'Skyfall' Teaser Pushes the Throttle Toward Badass

Oh, Daniel Craig. How did we ever get along without you?

'The Master' Teases A Planview Performance from Phoenix

Are we going to see a Daniel Day-Lewis level of committment from Joaquin Phoenix? Given the oddities revealed in the teaser for Paul Thomas Anderson's latest, I believe so. Jonny Greenwood is characteristically eerie here as well. And to think that we still haven't even seen Philip Seymour Hoffman as the titular character. Hopes for this film are going to be very high come its release date on October 12th.

'Bourne Legacy' Teaser

A fractured trailer for a fractured man. The marketing team for this Bourne film has been smart; no one will forget that the last Jason Bourne was Matt Damon, but there never was just one.

Red State Teaser

This will be a major departure of sorts for Kevin Smith, previously known for slacker comedies and fart jokes, as he delves into the realm of religious fundamentalism. I look forward to this with some caution as Smith's last film was Cop Out, but if there is a film to be seen during the dead season of February and March this might be it.

Kung Fu Panda 2 Teaser

The material for a sequel might seem a tad familiar - Po (Jack Black) and the Furious Five protecting China from the emergence of a formidable villain, who plans to use an unstoppable weapon to conquer China and destroy kung fu- but the first was entertaining and I can't see this being any less fun.

True Grit Teaser Trailer

This looks good, No Country for Old Men good. With Bridges, Damon, and Brolin alongside newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, come December quite a few actors are going to be called from the Coen's latest awards contender.

127 Hours Trailer

I may never have been a big fan of the politics of Utah, but jeez does that state look beautiful on camera. Anthony Dod Mantle (collaborator with Boyle on Slumdog Millionaire) may need to find room on his Oscar shelf come awards season. Franco is really starting to get away from that Saul Silver (Pineapple Express) Daniel Desario (Freaks and Geeks) image and given a lot of solo screentime he will have to carry this film.

The Social Network Teaser

Can't make a whole lot from David Fincher's upcoming film with the teaser so far, but it has a very ominous tone to it. My interest in the project was tepid until I found out Aaron Sorkin was writing the script and Fincher was directing, finding out Eisenburg would be the lead was icing on the cake. Let us hope that it does not end up a cookie cutter downfall movie.
