FYC: Toy Story 3

Finally, a legitimate contender from Disney. If there is a year where an animated film could take the big enchildada this is it. There is no clear cut leader at this portion of the race, but I could see a nasty feud developing between The Social Network and The King's Speech and a darkhorse candidate (like Toy Story 3) sneaking out with a Best Picture victory.

Most successful animated film? What about Avatar? Geez. Short memory.

Pixar have once again reminded me that there is a way to create a film that not only appeals to just about everyone, but also prove that three-quels need not suck.

Ant-man Finally Casted?

It looks like Nathan Fillion might be playing a superhero afterall. After being considered for roles in Green Lantern, and Captain America,Fillion (most remembered as Malcolm Reynolds in the cult-hit Firefly) is reportedly in final negotiations to play Dr. Hank Pym in the new Avengers film. It hasn't been stated whether Pym would be Ant-man in the film, or just a S.H.I.E.L.D. scientist, but we're holding out hope.

The Avengers hits theatres in 2012.
